Can only children who want to become actors apply?

Oberon Academy welcomes children who love to act. The academy also welcomes children who are unlikely to become actors in later life. The training will help children who are insecure and difficult to fit in to gain more confidence. For them, rhetorical training and personal development can be particularly useful. Oberon Academy’s three-year training course

The first year is divided into two parts. In the first semester, students learn to construct stage tension, situational thinking and the rules of being in the present tense through non-verbal exercises only. In the second half of the year, the children will have the opportunity to explore different dramaturgical processes.

The second year is all about further developing skills, and there is a much greater emphasis on teaching speech and dance. In the acting class, the children will have the opportunity to act out smaller and larger scenes. At the end of the year, they sit an exam in musical theatre.

The third year is a really exciting one, as the children perform in a big stage production with professional adult actors! The opportunities offered by Oberon Children’s Theatre School are not to be missed!
